About Jim
Jim has been selling Bay County real estate since 1972. He is a native of East Lansing, Michigan, and a Ft. Lauderdale transplant. He graduated from Florida State University and is a former tennis pro at the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Florida. During his years in the Key Largo area, Jim acquired an appreciation of quality real estate. In 1972, Jim joined the original developers of Bay Point Yacht Club as a real estate sales person. He became Bay Point Real Estate's broker in 1974, and served in that position until 1993. He was one of the owners of Grand Lagoon Company, which was acquired by St. Andrew’s Bay Real Estate in 1996. Jim continued to work as a broker-sales person with St. Andrews Bay Real Estate and continued through acquisitions by Arvida, St. Joe Company, and Coldwell Banker. In 2005, Jim became a partner of Counts Real Estate Group. Jim attributes his success in the real estate business to dedication and perseverance in finding the right property for each client. Maintaining a relationship after the sale, following up on individual needs, and assisting with adjustments to a new home and a new area are all part of buying property from Jim Gardner. Jim has been married to his wife Ann for 42 years. Their two children, son-in law, and 4 grandchildren all live in Bay Point, within Panama City Beach, FL. They are all members of Woodlawn United Methodist Church.
